Hallberg-Rassy 36 hulls were built from 1989 until 2003, with a total of 602 hulls produced. Boats numbered 1 to 256, built between 1989 and 1994, are the Mark I version, while boats numbered 257 to 602, built from 1994 to 2003, are the Mark II. The length of the Mark I is 10.87 meters, whereas the Mark II measures 11.31 meters, approximately 37 feet.

This particular boat is a Hallberg-Rassy 36 Mark II, built in 2002 with hull number 561. The Mark II features a developed transom with an integrated bathing platform. Compared to the Mark I, the Mark II is 30 cm wider at the transom. Additionally, the aft deck locker was improved from being raised above the deck level on the Mark I to being flush with the deck on the Mark II. The walk deck and the superstructure of the aft cabin were also widened. These changes provide the newer Mark II model with more interior space, additional lockers, and wider berths in the aft cabin. The waterline length at rest and the deck length remained unchanged. The mast, keel, rudder, underwater hull shape, and engine configuration are also the same between the Mark I and Mark II.

The Hallberg-Rassy 36 is a mid-range model—small enough to handle easily, yet large enough to sail anywhere at any time. Designed and constructed by experienced yachtsmen, it combines the latest technology with traditional standards, offering the comfort and elegant lines expected from a Hallberg-Rassy.

The interior layout is very well designed, allowing excellent comfort and unobstructed passage from one end of the boat to the other. The sturdy mast support is integrated with the main bulkhead, avoiding interference with the table or sofa. There is a large chart table positioned facing forward, where one can sit comfortably.

This boat is for sale by its second owner. The inventory includes many navigational aids, books, and publications. The sails are in good condition and are expected to last another twenty years. Overall, the boat is in very good condition and ready for a round-the-world voyage. It will be delivered at sea, fully prepared for sailing.

The boat’s performance is surprisingly good for its type, thanks to the careful design of the hull parameters and shape by its designer, Germán Frers.
