Hallberg-Rassy 352 is one of the most iconic models built on the island of Orust, Sweden, and has played a key role in establishing the brand’s worldwide reputation. The model was produced from 1978 until 1991, with more than 800 units built. It was designed by the renowned naval architect Olle Enderlein in collaboration with the shipyard’s founder Christoph Rassy. The Hallberg-Rassy 352 is an evolution of the legendary Rasmus 35, featuring more modern hull lines, a skeg-hung rudder, and the brand’s characteristic blue sheer stripe. Thanks to its solid construction and balanced sailing characteristics, it is widely regarded as a true bluewater cruiser.
Stepping aboard from the aft cockpit, the deep and well-protected cockpit of SY Minibig immediately provides a strong sense of security. Designed to keep the crew safe and comfortable during long passages, this area stands out with its ergonomic seating arrangement and well-controlled helm position. Descending below deck, you are welcomed by Hallberg-Rassy’s classic Swedish craftsmanship; solid mahogany joinery and high-quality finishes create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The saloon is spacious and practical, offering comfortable seating on both sides for life at anchor or underway. With approximately 1.85 m of headroom, the interior feels remarkably spacious for a yacht of this size.
In the two-cabin layout, the forward cabin features a generous V-berth suitable for comfortable double accommodation, while the aft cabin of SY Minibig is notably practical for her size and well-suited for extended stays on board. The galley, located to starboard, is compact yet functional and designed for safe use at sea. Opposite, the large chart table serves as a proper navigation station for long-distance cruising.
Although her name is “Minibig,” she truly lives up to it; despite her compact dimensions, she offers a surprisingly spacious and well-organized interior volume. This makes her an excellent choice both for extended onboard living and bluewater cruising.
Underway, SY Minibig stands out with her safe and predictable sailing characteristics. The skeg-supported rudder enhances course stability, while the moderate-to-heavy displacement hull contributes to strong performance in rough conditions. The masthead sloop rig provides a balanced sail plan and ensures easy handling. This model is not about speed, but about safe, comfortable, and reliable long-distance cruising, and it has proven itself capable of ocean passages.
The yacht’s original 40 HP Volvo Penta MD2003 Turbo engine was replaced in 2004 with a new-generation Volvo Penta D2-55 engine producing 55 HP. The engine currently has only 2,500 operating hours, and all maintenance has been carried out regularly by our technical team.
Thanks to the Side-Power bow thruster installed onboard and the new-generation engine, both passage times have been reduced and the yacht’s maneuverability in tight and narrow marinas has been significantly improved.
The yacht has undergone her pre-season maintenance and was launched in April 2026. The service batteries have been renewed. SY Minibig will be delivered afloat in Marmaris Yacht Marina.
Viewings are available during working hours, excluding Sundays, and strictly by appointment. It is recommended to schedule visits at least 3 days in advance.
The Hallberg-Rassy 352 remains a highly sought-after classic bluewater yacht, appreciated for its timeless design and robust construction. SY Minibig, with proper maintenance and updates, continues to offer the capability for safe long-distance cruising and represents a solid and reliable choice for serious sailors.
