Owner's comments:

The Lagoon 450 S Sportop is the culmination of the development of the Lagoon 450 which has reached maturity. With her advanced mast at the front of the saloon, She provides very good performance and proven safety. Lagoon, moreover, is taking up this concept after having tried a generation of catamarans with set-back masts.

We have carefully considered the equipment of our catamaran for comfort and safety. The boat is equipped with a substantial electrical system which means that you no longer depend on gas on board at all. The kitchen is fully electric and allows us to concoct good meals without worrying about the supply of gas.

The Victron 10KW charger has the capacity to charge lithium batteries from 20% to 100% in less than 90 minutes.

The parasailor allows us to navigate at large reach with surprisingly easy control of the spinnaker.

Night sailing is really comfortable at the helm. Fully protected from the cool night breeze with direct access to all controls and a global view of the environment.

In the evening at anchor, after visiting a pretty village in the Penepolis on land, we can watch a Netflix film comfortably seated in the saloon on the ideally placed 49” screen.

We are the first owners of this beautiful catamaran and we have always been keen to preserve the boat and ensure its maintenance. It will delight its future new owners.

Broker’s comments:

The boat was in excellent condition in our last visit on 19 February 2023. We really liked that the boom on the Sport-Top is substantially lower than the Flybridge version, (0,7 mt.) with a mast height of 22,3 mt. The lower boom brings the center of gravity down lower and reduces inertia in the rig.

And the other feature we especially like on the 450S is the wide hard deck that spans the transom just ahead of the davits, thereby letting you get quickly from one side to the other without ever stepping into the cockpit and interrupting the traffic flow.

The boat’s coachroof extends aft to form a composite cover over the entire cockpit and is interrupted only by the raised helm to starboard.

Two sets of steps converge at the helm. One set leads up to a double sun pad on the hardtop, where you can also reach the boom and traveler. The other set leads down and aft to the aft cockpit. As is becoming the norm on large cats, the 450S has two cockpits, one forward and one aft. When swinging to the hook in eastern trade winds, the aft cockpit will fall victim to the afternoon sun and won’t be the best place for happy hour. That’s when you head forward to the U-shaped settee that is integrated into the foredeck. There is no table here, but there are a few cup holders, and trays of food can be placed on the deck to either side of the above-deck Quick windlass.

Later, as the sun disappears below the horizon, the aft cockpit becomes the place to be for dinner, where eight can gather on the portside U-shaped settee that wraps around the dining table. Additional seating is to starboard on a double lounge-cum-sofa.

An L-shaped settee with a table is to starboard and faces aft for good viewing of a TV. TV can be placed in a cabinet that elevates from electrically down by the door. The U-shaped galley provides plenty of Corian counter space with molded-in fiddles, a four-burner induction stove, and a separate dual microwave oven. The forward end of the galley is not parallel to the aft end but is angled slightly forward to create more room to open the front-loading refrigerator.

The boat sported the owner’s configuration, with the master stateroom extending along the entire length of the starboard hull. It’s a posh space with a large bed aft, an equally large head and separate shower stall forward, and a nice desk in between. Storage is excellent in multiple lockers, cubbies, and under the berth.

As you know; Lagoon offers two option packages: Essential and Comfort. The davits, for example, are in the Essential pack while a genset is part of the Comfort. The boat has a 9.5 KW Onan generator. There is a dishwasher and a washing machine on board, too. You can check the boat’s full inventory below.

The 450S flies 129m2 of upwind sail area, with a full-batten mainsail by Incidence Sails coming standard. There is a Parasailor spinnaker 169 m2 on board which was slightly used. All of the sails are original from 2019.

On the 450S, the control lines are led aft to three electrical Harken winches and an array of Spinlock rope clutches at the helm, where visibility is also quite good. The Davit’s winch is also electrically operated.

The twin upgraded 57hp Yanmar diesel (45hp is standard) with SD60 sail drives and FLEX-O-FOLD folding propellers, delivered 9 knots at 3,200 rpm (wide-open-throttle). A more efficient, but still respectable cruising speed can be found at 2,400 rpm and a speed of 7.8 knots. Each engine has 800 working hours.

There is a Victron lithium battery pack on board which included inverter, charger, and solar regulators of the same brand.

The boat is located in Sicilla / Italy and the boat is for sale from the first owner. She is really in excellent condition and very well equipped. Demonstrations will be made during the working hours of the week. Appointments are needed to see the boat. Please make an appointment at least 3 days before your planned visit.
