Morris Yachts M-52

One of the wonderful things about the M-series boats is the control line setup. From the helm, one can control the hoisting of the main, unfurling of the jib, trimming of the mainsheet and single self-tacking jib sheet, control of the vang, control of the backstay and even control of the reefing system and preventer all while steering the boat. Pretty remarkable and very helpful for those who like to sail short-handed or even alone. The self-tacking jib is also terrific, as it allows one to easily short tack in tight harbors with minimal effort while the jib car slides from one side of the track to the other.

While the smaller M42 and M36 are also capable of cruising, the M52 offers the most amenities and is best suited for longer passage making or longer cruising periods. With three different interior layouts, the M52 can sleep up to 6 people comfortably and has a large salon/dining area as well. A dedicated head and separate stall shower are part of the owners quarters, while an aft day head serves the guest cabin and guests during daysails. The galley is fully equipped with a 4-burner stove and space for a microwave oven, dishes and all the pots and pans to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner! The M52 is a wonderful combination for those who daysail a lot, but also spend plenty of time aboard and enjoy cruising

The M-series daysailers are also available in a performance model X-Type. This version has a deeper keel, taller carbon fiber mast, carbon fiber fixed bow sprit, upgraded North 3Di sails, Carbon fiber helm wheel and a super smooth bottom finish. For those in deeper waters who enjoy an even livelier boat, the X-type is perfect. www.morrisyachts.com
